Barbara Jean Poffenberger, 69, of 401 Yankee Lane, passed away at her home, Thursday, December 24, 2020.

There will be a private service at a later date.

Barbara, born in 1951 in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Walter Clayton Fisher and Julia Edna Strickland Fisher Bray. She was the comptroller at Williamson Gas.

Survivors include: husband, Larry Poffenberger; son, Chris Hobbs and wife Marisa; daughter, Tracie Hobbs-Harrington and husband Lantrell; granddaughters, Sadie Hobbs, Airiana Troublefield and Lae`lana Harrington; sister, Ruby Turner; sister Michelle Parker and husband Steve; nieces, Kathy Shanor and Allyson Butler; and nephew, Daniel Butler.
