Clinton,
Ann Honeycutt Thigpen, 73, of Clinton, passed away Friday, April 23, 2021 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held at 3:15 PM, Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at the Clinton City Cemetery with Rev. Tim Ameen officiating.
Ann, born September 2, 1947, in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late William Winfield Honeycutt and Mildred Hall Honeycutt. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Kenneth Robert Honeycutt. She retired in 1999 as the Assistant Director of the Sampson County Library system, and retired in 2017 as the secretary at Immanuel Baptist Church, where she was a charter member.
Survivors include; husband of 50 years, J. Nelson Thigpen; son, Robert Nelson Thigpen and wife Jennifer; brother, Bill Honeycutt and wife Carolyn; sister-in-law, Dorothy “Dot” Hudson Honeycutt; nieces and nephews, William Honeycutt (Kellie), Michael Honeycutt (Becky Guenther), Brittany Coats (Jeffery), Will Honeycutt, Courtney Honeycutt; and numerous cousins and friends whom she loved dearly.
