Amber Michelle Herring, 34, of Kenansville passed away Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones. 

A celebration of life will be held for Amber on August 8, 2024 at Crumpler Honeycutt in Clinton, NC. Visitation is from 1-6 and the funeral will follow immediately after.

Amber was born on April 10, 1990 in Clinton, NC to Tonya Williamson. She spent her childhood with her younger brother Austin and her many cousins. As kids, they were always into mischief together. Playing in the dirt, swimming in any place that had water, and Amber’s favorite hobby of all; riding her horse. She felt an indescribable sense of happiness and freedom when riding. She was a horse whisperer. Her Dolly was her best friend and there was nothing in this world that meant more to her. That is, until her entire world was forever changed in 2010. Becoming a mother to her first child, Cayden ignited an eternal flame inside of Amber. Cayden was her lifeline, her only son and her first born. Following Cayden, Amber gave birth to her two beautiful daughters; Malaiyah and Ariella. Her baby girls were the perfect completion of her family. She always called the girls her “minis” because they are both so much like her. As a family with her mother Tonya, they spent most of their time going fishing, going to the beach, doing each other’s nails, makeup, and hair, playing cards and bingo, and baking all sorts of goodies. Being a mommy was her passion and words cannot explain how great of a mother she truly was. She endured 2 long years of chemo as well as many different treatments, procedures and hospitalizations all with one goal; to stay with her babies as long as possible. 

Amber trusted and leaned on God her whole life, and even battling cancer she never strayed from Him. 

Amber is survived by; 3 children Cayden, Malaiyah, & Ariella of the home; Mother, Tonya of the home; Brother, Austin of Clinton; Sister, Bonnie of Washington ; Sister, Erica of Idaho; Her Mama Cathy & Papa Tommy of Turkey; Aunt, Lalinda and husband Michael of Turkey; Uncle, Delbert of Turkey; Great Aunt/Second mom; Bonnie Knowles of Warsaw; Great Aunt Gic of Rosehill; Nephews, Liam, Jaxton, and Colton as well as her chosen sister, Kayla of Clinton; Niece, Lu of Washington; Cousins, Breanna of Turkey, Dylan of Turkey, and Justin of Raleigh; God Daughter, Braylee of Turkey; Best Friend, Darla of Salemburg; Special Friend, Christian of Wilmington; & many beloved friends. 

Amber fought her battle against Colorectal Cancer for over two years.  She is now in her heavenly home, rejoicing with Jesus and cancer free.
