Retired USAF Veteran, Allie L. Burgess, 82 peacefully passed away at his home December 7, 2020 surrounded by loved ones. Allie, also known as "Skeebo" was born December 15, 1937 in Clinton, NC to the late Mr. and Mrs. Allie and Callie Burgess. He was also preceded in death by 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Mr. Burgess is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years Patricia, 3 daughters: Kim Grant, Kendy Prystajko and husband Michael, Kali Twisdale and husband Gene. 8 grandchildren: Brandon, Brett, Justin, Ali, Autumn, Nikolas, Alexis and Anna,as well as 16 great grandchildren. Also 2 sisters Elizabeth Warren and Daphne Bowden and brother Johnny Burgess. Allie was a devoted husband, father, "Pop/Papa", brother and friend. He enjoyed spending his time with his family grilling and cooking. He also enjoyed time in his workshop building furniture and such for his loved ones. He was known for his loving, kind nature as well as his love for God and country. A graveside service is planned for December 11th at 11: 00 a.m. at Grandview cemetery in Clinton, NC.
