Allen Gene Simmons, 69, of 70 Julius Lane, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2025.

Funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, November 29th at Holly Grove Holiness Church with Rev. Dr. Randy Simmons and Rev. William McDaniel officiating.  Interment will follow in the Simmons Family Cemetery at 291 Parson Simmons Lane, Clinton.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church and at other times at the home of his daughter Katherine at 291 Parson Simmons Lane, Clinton.

Allen, born February 10, 1956, in Sampson County, was the son of the late Jesse David Simmons and Ollie Odell Ammons Simmons.  He was a truck driver, a member of the Apostolic Church of Clinton, and a citizen of the Coharie Tribe.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings J. D., Cecil, Walter, Billy, Earl, Margolius, Janice, Julia, Lori and special niece Cecilia Faircloth who he considered his daughter. 

Survivors include: wife of 51 years, 10 months and 1 day, Nancy H. Simmons; son, Chris Simmons (Marie) of Magnolia; daughters, Katherine Simmons Alonso (Pablo) of Clinton and Ryleigh Chambers; grandchildren, Samantha Simmons Alonso, Christian Simmons (Clara), Lea Faith (Oscar), Noah Alonso,  Dean Palacios, Talia, Taylara, Tylique, Giovanna, Nevaeh, Kira and Kai; “His Boys”, Larry, Kenny, Sammy and Kerry Hall, Jr.; sisters, Fay Jacobs and Brenda Ammons; brothers, Samuel Simmons (Frances) and Harold Simmons (Tatsy); a host of nephews and nieces; and special nephew,  Marty Simmons  like a brother and Tyrell Brunson to his boys.
