Robert Lee Boone, 71, of 7496 US Hwy 421 N, passed away, Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, February 23, 2019 at New Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Newton, Rev. Jerry Johnson and Reverend Terry Cummings officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service at New Bethel Baptist Church and at other times at the home.

Robert, born in 1947 in Sampson County, was the son of the late Wilbert Boone and Margaret Bronson Boone.  He was a painter and was raised Baptist.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, William C. Boone and  George N. Boone,  and sisters, Fannie L. Moore Hill and Mary Odessa Boone.

Survivors include his wife of forty-two years, Patricia Ann Brewington Boone, sister, Brenda B. Buchanon of Cary, NC, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home, to offset the funeral cost.
