Rexie Mae Balkcum Usher, 76, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held at 11 A.M., Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Clinton City Cemetery with Reverend William Tew officiating.   

Rexie, born in 1941 in Sampson county, was the daughter of the late Erastus “Sam” Balkcum, Jr. and Mae Shirley Rogers Balkcum.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Armand Usher, III, and Cricket.  She was a caregiver.

Survivors include; sons, Samuel Nelson Usher and Kim, and Michael David Usher and Jan; grandchildren, Alli and husband, Bryan Long of Clinton, Megan and husband Colt Pierce of Clinton, Hailey Usher of Raleigh, Spencer Usher of Boone, Nicholas Usher of Clinton and Andrew Usher of Clinton; great-grandchild, Brycen Pierce of Clinton; and favorite child, “Jethro”.

The family will receive friends from 6 P.M. – 8 P.M., Friday, November 10, 2017 at Crumpler Honeycutt Funeral Home and at other times at the home of her son, at 1834 West Mt. Gilead Church Road.
