Nina Mary (McNulty) Kosterman

Nina Mary Kosterman, 85, of 505 Lafayette Street, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington, NC.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clinton.  Interment will follow in Our Lady of Guadalupe Church Cemetery in Newton Grove, NC.  The family will receive friends at the home at 505 Lafayette St., Clinton, NC.

Nina, was born in 1932 in Parkerburg, West Virginia to the late Owen McNulty and Leona Gretchen McCutcheon McNulty. After receiving her RN degree in Parkersburg, W VA, Nina moved to Fayetteville where she was a nurse at the Veteran’s Hospital.  After meeting and marrying Dr. Frank Kosterman, they moved to Clinton, NC, where she worked with him in his Chiropractic Center and also managed to raise six children.  A devout Christian, and a long time member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, she was a member of the Altar Society for many years and served as a Church Lector.  Nina loved being with her children and working in her flower garden.  In later years, she enjoyed sitting outdoors in her swing and/or sunroom, bird watching and watching people.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Frank Kosterman and son, Frank Kosterman, Jr.

Survivors include; children, Eddie Kosterman and wife Vickie, Theresa Kosterman, Mary Kosterman, Leah K. Pope and husband Neal,  and Dr. Tim Kosterman and wife Teri; grandchildren, Jeremy Kosterman and wife Huynh, Alex Kosterman, Jenny  Gardner and husband Taylor, Haley Pope, Chandler Kosterman, Sophie Kosterman, Lauren Hill and husband Jimmy, Stephen Kosterman, Eric Kosterman, and Kyle Kosterman; great-grandchildren,  Ethan Hill and Claire Hill; brothers, Jim McNulty and wife Helen and Owen McNulty; and sister, Christine Barlow and husband Gordon.
