Nathan Patrick “Pat” Pope, 89, of 1185 Pope Road, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018 at his home with his family by his side.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Grandview Memorial Park, with Rev. E. C. Mattocks, Rev. Ken Simmons and Rev. Robert Cribbs officiating.  The family will receive friends at the graveside after the service.

Pat, born in 1929, was the son of the late Tate Pope and Leola Coley Pope.  He was a farmer and attended Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. 

Surviving to cherish his memory are; his wife Sarah Pope and his three sons, Patrick Pope (Sylvia), Nathan Pope (Terrie), and Mike Pope all of Clinton; ten grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by six brothers, Arthur, Carl, Walter, Fulton, Lynn and Paul, and two sisters, Margaret Jones and Ella Mae Fredrick.
