Mary "Lib" Elizabeth (Westbrook) Bass

Clinton, N C Mrs. Elizabeth “Lib” Westbrook Bass, 77, of 100 Fox Hollow, Clinton, N C, passed away Friday July 28, 2017. A funeral service will be held Sunday July 30 at 4 PM at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1017 Sunset Ave., Clinton, NC with Rev. Vernon Braswell officiating. Interment will follow in the Clinton Cemetery. Lib, born in Sampson County and was the daughter of the late Erby Westbrook and Hattie Hall Westbrook. She was the widow of the late Lloyd Hampton Bass. She is survived by two sons, Larry Hampton Bass and wife Nancy of New Bern and Lloyd Roger Bass of Surf City. Two grandchildren Abby Bass Waters of Clinton and Marlee Louanna Bass and her mother Cindy of Wallace. One great granddaughter Bailey Waters of Clinton. One sister Clara Westbrook Lane of Clinton. The family will receive friends at the cemetery after the burial. Lib was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She was owner and operator of Lloyd Bass Rental Services of Clinton. She was always glad for family and friends to see the landscaping around her home and glad to share blooming flowers with others. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials may be made to Baptist Children’s Home, 100 Boone Dr., Thomasville, NC 27360.
