Clinton,
Louis Elton Rackley, 80, of 1560 Pope Road, went to be with the Lord, Friday, November 2, 2018 from the UNC Hospital.
The family will receive friends from 3 PM – 5 PM, Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home and at other times at the home of his son, Bobby Rackley, at 2345 Old Warsaw Rd., Clinton, NC 28328.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Monday, November 5, 2018 at Miller’s Chapel Church, 10441 Faison Hwy, Faison, NC, with Rev. Bill Cotton officiating. Interment will follow in the Clinton City Cemetery.
Louis, born in 1938 in Sampson County, was the son of the late Lonnie Washington Rackley and Nettie Hairr Rackley. He was a carpenter and lifelong member of Miller’s Chapel Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Lonnie Rackley, and sister, Ester Bradshaw.
Survivors include; wife, Delynn Rackley; daughters, Barbara Fennell and husband Kenny, Betty Arnette and husband Frank, Bonnie Miller and husband Don; son, Bobby Rackley and wife Gina; and sister, Elizabeth Pate; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and his best friend Red.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity.
