Mr. Homer Wilson, 82, of 434 Quail Run Ln. passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018 at the home of his son surrounded by his loving family.
A home going celebration under the direction of the family will be held at 4 PM, Wednesday at the Bonnetsville Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Donald Massey and Rev. Jeff Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service 3 PM-4 PM, at the church and other times at the home of his son Bobby at 6473 High House Rd., Salemburg.
Homer, born in Duplin Co. in 1936, was the son of the late Charlie Aycock Wilson and Ettie Louise Brown Wilson. He was a member of Bonnetsville Church of God of Prophecy and retired from Sanmina as a machine setup worker.
Homer is survived by his children: Barbara Ruggles (Todd); Bobby Gene Wilson (Sylvia); former spouse and friend, Linda Meeks; grandchildren: Miranda Mendez, Ashley Holland, Lori Faircloth, Bobby S. Wilson, Kelly Page, Adam Faircloth; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Lilly Mae Mathis, Pat Fields, Adell Bishop, Bonnie Hall, Ray Wilson, and Kenneth Wilson.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Bonnetsville Church of God of Prophecy in Homer’s memory.
