Mrs. Grace Sutton Parker of 1786 High House Road, Clinton, NC, passed away on Monday, September 17, 2018 at the home of her son in Roseboro.

Funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Monday, September 24, 2018 at McGee United Methodist Church, with Pastor Larry Smith, Pastor Larry Stancil and Pastor Bobby Herring officiating.  Interment will follow in Grandview Memorial Garden.

Born on January 1, 1921 in Sampson County, Mrs. Grace was the daughter of the late Gus and Amanda Williamson Sutton.  She was a homemaker and member of McGee United Methodist Church.  Her greatest passion was gardening, working on the farm alongside her husband, Joe, and taking care of her family whom she especially loved spending time with.  She will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Grace leaves behind to cherish precious memories; her husband of seventy-six years, Joe A. Parker, Jr.; two daughters, Nancy Stein (Jerry) of Columbia, SC, and Ellen Chambers (JD) of Raleigh; one son, Joe Frank Parker of Roseboro; three grandsons, Andy Stein (Larissa) of Charlotte, Kent Stein of Columbia and Joey Parker (Edie) of China Grove; one granddaughter, Ashley (John) of Clinton; one great-grandson, Stephen; and one great-great grandchild, Jovi Lee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, James Ronald Parker, grandson, Nelson Lee Parker, daughter-in-law, Gail Parker, sisters, Minnie Lee Strickland, Eva Conner, Ann Lavin , Mamie Anderson, Jamie Peters and Lessie Warren and brother Gus Sutton.
