Clinton, Frederick Michael Schoenleber, 78, of 75 Lesley Drive, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Duke University Hospital. A mass will be held at 11 A.M., Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Joseph Dionne officiating. The interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Newton Grove, NC. Fred, born in 1939 in Philadelphia, PA, was the son of the late Frederick Augusta Schoenleber and Marie Bauer Schoenleber. He worked as a general contractor in the construction industry. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, and active in the Knights of Columbus as Grand Knight, Faithful Navigator and District Deputy. He served in the 82nd Airborne in the U. S. Army. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Martin Schoenleber and sister, Alice Simpkins. Survivors include; his wife of fifty-eight years, Peggy Schoenleber; sons, Fred Schoenleber of Lake Tillery, NC, and Phillip Schoenleber of Richboro, PA; daughter, Laura Jean Schoenleber of the home; brother, Michael Schoenleber Langhorne, PA; sister, Anna Marie Wheeler of Brigantine, NJ; four grandsons; and three great grandsons. The family will receive friends from 6 P.M to 8 P.M., Friday, June 15, 2018 at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home, 118 Fayetteville St., Clinton, NC 28382, and at other times at the home.
