Evelyn Marie Tyndall Peterson Heath, 86, of 7806 Garland Hwy, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC.

A funeral service will be held at 3 P.M., Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at Tyndall Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Reverend Larry Barnhill officiating.   Entombment will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 2 P.M. – 2 :45 P.M., Wednesday at the church just prior to the service.

Evelyn born in Sampson County in 1931, was the daughter of the late William C. Tyndall and Myrtle Mayress Autry Tyndall.  She was a member of Tyndall Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Burruss Alphonza Peterson and Garland Heath; daughter, Donna Marie Partida; brothers, William Tyndall, Jr. and Ronald Darryl Tyndall. 

She is survived by a daughter, Bettie Ann Mitchell and fiancé Bennie Jones; granddaughter, Tammy Mitchell Kornegay and husband Thomas; three grandsons,  Ashley Dean Merritt, Terrence Ryan Thornton, Michael Clifton Thornton  and wife Amanda; two great grandchildren, Elexis Rae Kornegay and Justin Wayne  Kornegay; and two sisters, Doris Edna Hall Barnhill  and husband Jerry and  Carolyn Tyndall Herring and husband Henry ; and son-in-law, David Partida.
