Edwina Ruth “Sonny” Edwards, 56, of Holly Ridge, passed away at her home, March 1, 2018.

A funeral service will be held at 3 P.M., Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Trinity United Methodist Church with the Pastor Tommy Yopp and Reverend Clark Barfield officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service.    Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Edwina, born in 1961 in Duplin County, was the daughter of Janice Stroud Watson and the late Edwin Rivers Watson. 

She is survived by; son, Adam Cole Edwards of Topsail Island; mother, Janice Watson; sisters, Deborah Merritt and husband Dail and Sandra Reyes; brothers, Lyndon Watson and wife Sherry and Philip Dean Watson; nieces and nephews, Michael Watson of TX, Wade Watson of Alabama, Della Rhea Geohagan, C. D. Merritt and wife Melissa of Sneads Ferry, Tomi Reyes of Magnolia, and Savannah Watson of Magnolia;  two special friends, Jo and Pat; and she also leaves a special card shark nephew, Watson Reyes.
