Donald “Donnie” Hugh McClanahan, 70, of Sprunt Drive, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 at his home.

*(Due to inclement weather the interment will be held Monday, January 8, 2018 at 1:00 P.M.)*

A funeral service will be held at 3 P.M., Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home with the Reverend Robbie Gilbert officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M. at the funeral home prior to the service.  Interment will follow in the Clinton City Cemetery.

Donald, born in 1947 in Sampson County, to the late Joseph McClanahan and Buena Adkins McClanahan, worked with Kivett’s Furniture in drafting and architectural consulting and was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include: wife of forty-one years, Mary Gail Jackson McClanahan; son, Joseph McClanahan of Clinton; brothers, Marcus McClanahan (Peggy) of Winterville and Robert McClanahan of New Bern; nephews, Chad Lewis of Wilmington,  Michael McClanahan of High Point, Tim McClanahan of Greenville, Pollyanna McClanahan Scott of Newport, Robby McClanahan of New Bern; and loving friends.
