Stewart Precythe unexpectedly left us this week.
Left behind are many people that were in his keep.
He said I missed my calling as a writer of poems,
Well this one’s just for him as he enters his heavenly home.
He was an honorable man that cared deeply for others.
I felt as close to him as if he were my brother.
He was a risk taker and an innovator in the field of produce.
As for his gambling nature, he gave no apology or excuse.
His tough business sense came from Mr. Harold, his dad.
His eye for art came from trips with his mom as just a lad.
He could get mad and say a few harsh words.
Seconds later with sorrow he could cry undeterred.
I think more than anything he wanted to make his parents proud.
He did that many times over before joining them above the clouds.
Stewart was also proud of the man his son, Kelley, had become.
A cycle he hoped would continue for generations to come.
I’m extremely sad that he had to leave us behind,
But I’m glad to have known Stewart, he was one of a kind.
I hope I never forget the sound of his voice.
Having known him as a friend gives me cause to rejoice.
I don’t really know why but he seemed to respect my opinion,
Though he was way more successful, he expressed no dominion.
Some will say Southern Produce is his greatest legacy,
But I say it’s all that loved him, both friends and family.

Our hearts are heavy . My family and I are so terribly sorry for the loss of such a kind man. He and my husband J.W.Witcher were friends both personally and professionally. Stuart attended J.W.s services when he passed, and we all were grateful for his kindness. Stuart and I remained friends for these last 25 years as well and he will be sincerely missed. Please accept our condolences.
Sincerely,
Kim Witcher
