Bertus Andrew   “Andy”  Raynor, 66, of 129 Deb Road, passed away Friday, May 3, 2019.

Funeral service will be held at 4 PM, Sunday, May 5th, at Robert’s Grove Freewill Baptist Church, 725 Roberts Grove Rd., Dunn, NC  28334 with Rev. Fred Baker and Dr. Ricky Warren officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2:45 PM – 3:45 PM, just before the service at the church and at other times at the home.

Andy, born in 1953 in Sampson County, was the son of the late Robert and Essie Raynor.  He retired at fifty-nine years, old with Dubose National to enjoy life, golf, family and friends. He was an ordained deacon, Sunday School Teacher and a member of Robert’s Grove Freewill Baptist Church.   He dearly loved and enjoyed his grandsons, teaching them about life and to love and respect others.  He loved to talk to them about Jesus and about his childhood and growing up.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn and his brother-in-law, Ray Barefoot.

Andy is survived by; wife of forty-four years, Sharlene Raynor; daughter, Nicole R. Jordan (Dean); grandsons, Seavy and Benjamin Jordan; siblings, Jimmy Raynor (Sandra), Ann Barefoot , Shelton Raynor (Sally), Gary Raynor (Sandy), Delores Williams (Steve), and Beverly Stanley (Kelly); and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Robert’s Grove Freewill Baptist Church, 725 Roberts Grove Road, Dunn, NC 28334 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN  38105.
