Amy Leigh Bass, 35, of 193 Sandhole Road, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, September 3, 2017 after a long illness.

A funeral service will be held at 6 P.M., Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Colonial Heights Freewill Baptist Church with the Reverend Gene Smith officiating.  Interment will follow in the Bass Family Cemetery in Clinton.  The family will receive friends from 4:30 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., just prior to the service at the church, and at other times at the home of her parents at 163 Sandhole Road, Clinton, NC.

Amy, born on August 17, 1982 in Sampson County, was a young woman of many talents.  One of which was turning bad days to good, making people smile and helping people any way she could.  She was the daughter of Tim Bass and Lisa Small Bass.   She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Lester Carl Small and George Lemmie Bass.  She was a phlebotomist and a member of Colonial Heights Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include; fiancé, Michael Jones and son Cohner Jones; parents; Tim and Lisa Bass; grandmothers, Evangeline Small and Mary “Lib” Bass; one uncle; several aunts; and several cousins.
