Alice Shirley Anders, 81, of 352 Carr Church Road, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held at 3 P.M., Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Carr Memorial Christian Church, with Reverend Penny Ziemer officiating.  Interment will follow in Grandview Memorial Garden.

Shirley, born in 1935 in Sampson County was the daughter of the late Jentry Rease Hunter and Mary Rose Honrine.  She was a loving wife and mother and a member of Carr Memorial Christian Church.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by; brothers, Floyd Hunter, Max Hunter, Jack Hunter and Jimmy Hunter; and sister, Mick Fowler.

She is survived by; husband of sixty-three years, Elmon Jarvis Anders; daughter Alice Yvonne Anders Pritchett and husband Curtis Wayne Pritchett; sons, Elmon Curtis Anders and Daryl Keith Anders and wife Deanna Kaye Anders; granddaughters, Ashton Brooke Pritchett, Abby Blair Pritchett, Erin Lane Anders, and Tiffany Anne Stevens and husband Clayton Stevens; grandsons, Ryan Curtis Anders and Kaleb Dawson Anders; brother, Alton Hunter; sister, Becky Hunter Turlington.

Memorials may be made to Carr Memorial Christian Church, c/o Jane Brewer, 1801 Pan Handle Road, Faison, NC  28341.
