Mr. Wyman Edward McDaniel, 69, of 120 Southwood Drive, Mary Gran Nursing Center passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton.

A funeral service will be held at 2 P.M., Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Parsons and Rev. Gene Smith officiating.  Interment will be in the Clinton City Cemetery. 

Mr. McDaniel, born in Sampson County was the son of the late George Edward McDaniel and Nancy Jordan McDaniel.  He was a member of Colonial Heights Free Will Baptist Church and a retired tractor mechanic.  He was a former fireman with Halls and Roseboro Fire Department.

He is survived by his sister; Pamela M. (E. C.) Foster of Dundas, VA; two daughters, Jennifer (Ben) Jones of Newton Grove and Melissa (Marcus) Worley of Newton Grove, NC; two granddaughters; Rebecca Jones and Allie Worley.  He is also survived by nephew; Edwin (Whitney) Foster of Blackstone, VA; niece; Blair (Geoff) Pollhammer of Mt. Airy, MD; special cousins, Patricia (Thomas) Jackson, and Charles (Edith) McDaniel; and friends, Rev. Penny Ziemer, Terry Johnson, Gene (Kay) Boyette, Fletcher Holland, Carroll Royal, Beverly Tysinger, Rhonda Sutherland, Dr. John Smith and Mrs. Blanche Norris.

The family will receive friends from 6 P.M. – 8 P.M., Friday, September 2, 2016 at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Patricia and Thomas Jackson, 1449 Sharecake Road, Clinton, NC  28328.

The family would like to thank everyone at Mary Gran Nursing Center who has for the past five years been his friends and have taken care of him and the members of Colonial Heights Free Will Baptist Church and Carr Memorial Christian Church that have visited and prayed with him.  He enjoyed going around the nursing home and trying to make other people feel better.
