Roger Lee Blue, 70, of 172 Hamilton Drive, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 7 P.M., Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Gary Threatt officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately after the service and at other times at the home.

Roger, born in 1946 in Hoke County, was the son of the late John Duncan Blue.  He was an accountant with ABJ Enterprises, counselor with Employment Security Commission and a member of the American Legion.  He served in the U. S. Air Force from 1963 – 1967.  In addition to his father he was preceded in death by brothers; Jerry Blue (Louise) and Johnny Blue (Larue).

Survivors are his wife of forty-seven years;  Sarah Frances Raynor Blue; sons, Dwayne Blue (Amy) of Clinton, Craig Lee Blue (Nicole) of Fayetteville, and Kenneth Duncan Blue (Morgan) of Raleigh; grandchildren; Amber, Gavin, Marley, Duncan, Charlotte; mother, Edith Harris Blue; and sister; Judy Simmons (Skip) of Candor.
