Marsha Ann (Jackson) Powell

Mrs. Marsha Ann Jackson Powell, 60, of 3460 Edmond Matthis Road, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington with her loving family and friends by her side.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2017, 2 P.M., at First Baptist Church, 408 College St., Clinton, with Matthew Barefoot and Rev. Dr. Ray Ammons officiating.  Burial will follow in the Clinton City Cemetery.

Born on August 2, 1957, Marsha was the daughter of the late Bessie Weeks and Charlie Jackson.  She graduated from Clinton High School in 1975 and went on to earn her degree in respiratory therapy and nursing.  She retired from Clinton Courtyard as a  Service Coordinator.  Marsha loved her family and being at the beach.  She loved cooking, sewing and crafting.  She was always willing to lend a listening ear and advice to all who knew her.  She was a great source of comfort for all.

Marsha is survived by her husband of 34 years, Michael Keith Powell; her beloved son, Charlie William Powell and fiancé Megan Carlton; two brothers: Charles Jackson and wife Norma Jean, and Dwight Jackson and wife Sherry; two sisters, Marie J. Pope and her deceased husband, Curtis, Pamela J. Matthis and husband Thomas; and brother-in-law, Kendall McLamb all of Clinton.   She was also survived by several nieces and nephews; Renee, Jeanette, Laura, J. J., Dwain, Amy, Mary Ann, Kevin, Kyle, Trace, Jackson, Gage, Blythe, Laura Catherine, Parker, Reid, Ashlynn, Karson, Kylie, Caroline, and Wylie.  She was loved by everyone who knew her and will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Joyce Jackson and Linda McLamb.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening, December 9, 2017 from

 6 P.M. to 8 P.M., at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home, 118 Fayettville St., Clinton, NC and at other times at her home at 3460 Edmond Matthis Road, Clinton.
