Jean Evelyn (Strickland) Lockamy

Jean Evelyn Strickland Lockamy, 89, of 111 Castlewood Drive, North Palm Beach, formerly of Clinton, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018.

A funeral service will be held at 2 P.M., Tuesday, January 23rd, 2018 at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home, with the Reverend Larry Myrick officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Grandview Memorial Park

Jean, born in 1928 in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Julius Lamuel Strickland and Lola Mae Baker Strickland.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Nathan Lockamy, Sr.  She was Auditor of Sampson County and worked as business manager of Clinton Medical Clinic.  She attended McGee United Methodist Church.

Survivors include; son, Dr. John N. Lockamy and wife Julie of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; grandchildren, Christen and Kathryn; brother, Lloyd Lamuel Strickland; and sister, Bobbie Strickland Wright.
