James Nathan Jacobs

James Nathan Jacobs, 65, of 341 Ransom Road, passed away Tuesday, May 10th at UNC Healthcare in Chapel Hill.

A funeral will be held at 3 P.M., Saturday, May 14th at Holly Grove Holiness Church with the Reverend Mark Fields and Reverend Dr. Randy Simmons officiating.  Interment will follow in the New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Nathan, born in Sampson County in 1951, was the son of the late Readich James Jacobs and Donnie Mae Jones Jacobs.  He was a farmer and worked with the Clinton City Schools in the maintenance department.  He attended Holly Grove Holiness Church.

He is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Randa Blanks Jacobs; sons, Jamie Scott Jacobs and wife Michelle of Wake Forest and Jeremey Nathan Jacobs of Clinton; grandchildren, Skyler Jacobs and Readich Jacobs; brothers and sisters, Bobby Jacobs (Cheryl), Glenda Fields (Earl), Wilma Goins (Clarence), Geneva Chance, Dell Strickland (R. L.), Vonda Floyd, Kay Carter (Mitchell) and Allen Jacobs.

A public viewing and visitation will be held from 2 P.M. – 3 P.M., Saturday, May 14th, one hour prior to the service at Holly Grove Holiness Church.
