Ellen (Melton) Raynor

Ellen M. Raynor, 94, of 704 Stewart Avenue, passed away Friday, December 1, 2017 at Southwood Nursing Center.

A memorial service will be held at 11 A.M., Monday, December 4, 2017 at First United Methodist Church, with the Reverend T. R. Miller officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately after the service at the church.

Ellen, born in 1923 in Statesville, NC, was the daughter of the late Rev. Omer Clyde “O.C.” Melton  and  Jettie Davis Melton.  She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church of Clinton.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Harold Stewart Raynor, Sr.  and a brother, O. C. Melton, Jr.

Survivors include; children, Ann Raynor Berrier and husband Bob of Newport News, VA, Harold Stewart Raynor, Jr. and wife Kay of Clinton, and Linda Raynor Thompson and husband Paul of Fairmont, NC; Six grandchildren; Eight great-grandchildren; and sister,  Clarice Edge of Fayetteville.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church,
