Elise Brewington Doan, 62, of 1437 Aversboro Road, passed away, Saturday, March 18, 2017 at North Pointe Assisted Living in Garner.

A funeral service will be held at 2 P.M., Friday, March 24, 2017 at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home, with the Reverend Hubbard Lowery officiating.   The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home of her brother (Ronnie Brewington) , 57 First Street, Clinton.    Interment will follow in Grandview Memorial Park. 

Elise, born in 1954 in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Paul Brewington and Pearlie Ammons Brewington.  She was a mail carrier and attended New Bethel Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, four brothers and a son, Roscoe Duncan Sanders. 

Survivors include; sons, Jimmy Clifton Sanders and Jonathan Winston Sanders; daughters, Addasun Sanders and Gracie Doan; brothers, James Alfred Brewington (Carrie), Bobby Ray Brewington and Ronnie Franklin Brewington (Dorothy); sister, Susan Dale Brewington; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren;  and several nieces and nephews.
