Doris Cannady (Floyd) Voncannon

June 4, 2016 Clinton, NC Mrs. Columbia Doris Cannady Voncannon, 86, of 4199 Roseboro Hwy. passed away peacefully Saturday, June 04, 2016 at her home. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 6, at Roseboro First Baptist Church 3720 S. Salemburg Hwy. Roseboro, with the Rev. Hampton Faircloth and Rev. Dudley Neal officiating. Interment will follow in the Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Voncannon, was the daughter of the late William Lewis Floyd and Mercedes Spell Floyd and was the widow of Robert Cannady and Junie Voncannon. She was also preceded in death by a brother Billy Floyd. Mrs. Voncannon was a retired caregiver, and a member of Roseboro First Baptist Church where she was a choir member. She is survived by: a son Robert Lewis Cannady and wife Sherry, daughter, Anne C. Clack and husband Donald; two grandchildren: Ethan Cannady and wife Lindsey and Mark Cannady and wife Abby, three great-grandchildren: Lydia Diane Cannady, Oliver Grey Cannady, and Benjamin Mark Cannady, sister Susan McCullen and sister-in-laws: Catherine Floyd, Mary Cannady, Loanie Cole, Elizabeth Allred. The family will receive friends, 1-2 p.m. Monday, one hour prior to the funeral at Roseboro First Baptist Church and other times at the home of her daughter Anne Clack, 4199 Roseboro Hwy.
