Darlene Goodman Lupton, 70, of 528 Hubbard Butler Road, passed away Friday, October 27, 2017 at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

A funeral will be held at 3 P.M., Sunday, October 29, 2017 at New Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Cummings and Rev. Ken Simmons officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and at other times at the home.

Darlene, born in 1947 in Sampson county, was the daughter of the late Reuben A. Goodman and Maggie Jacobs Goodman.  She was retired from Lundy Packing Company and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Jeffrey Goodman.

Survivors include; husband, Jeffrey Lupton; son, Dennis Craig Goodman (Sherry) from Oklahoma; step-daughter, Danielle Lupton; grandchildren, Craig Goodman and Emily Knupp; brother, Bruce Goodman (Helen); and sister, Onzie Edwards.
