Clara Louise (Greeson) Jackson

Clara Louise Jackson, 77, of 64 Westbrook Road, passed away Friday, April 29 at her home.

A graveside service will be held at 11 A. M., Monday, May 2, 2016 at Grandview Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Dr. Gary Threatt officiating.

Clara, born in 1938 in Austin, Texas, was the daughter of the late James Clifton Greeson and Gladys Jewel Joiner.  She worked with Hemco in Newton Grove was former co-owner of Jackson’s Grocery.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, James Clarence Jackson, “Jimmy” and a grandson, James Lynn Jackson.

Survivors include her husband, Clarence Jackson;  children; Bobby Jackson and wife Betty of Norfolk, VA, Connie Carter and husband Wilber of Roanoke Rapids, and Terry Jackson and wife Liza of Clinton; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Walter Greeson of Temple Texas and Thomas and wife Jean Greeson of Cameron Texas; sisters, Sue Cowan of Cedar Creek, Texas; Paula Guidy and husband Jim of Cut Off, Louisiana; and very special friends, Alice Barefoot and Cathy Bartlett and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 6 P.M. to 8 P.M, Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
