Carrie Bass McVeigh, 98, of 120 Southwood Drive, passed away Wednesday, April 20th at Mary Gran Nursing Center.

A graveside service will be held at 11 A.M., Saturday,  April 23rd at the Clinton City Cemetery with the Reverend Matthew Burris officiating.

Carrie, born in 1917 in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Levie Bass and Ellen Daughtry Bass.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill McVeigh. 

She was a cosmetologist.  Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Trout Armen and husband Karl of Reno NV., and son Sterling Trout.
