Dear Uncle Earl, I love you, I love what you stood for, I love the way you made me feel as a child during family gatherings at Mama and Granddaddy's home. When I was small I had the time of my life playing with my cousins Sheila and Teresa. You always made it your priority to spend time with me by sharing a silly story or joke. I loved your animated personality that always got my attention. I knew you loved me and I thank you for that. You have been a blessing to so many people. God knew that we all needed someone like you in our life. In my sadness I have peace knowing you are a child of God and he will look after you now. Dear Teresa, I am praying for strength and peace for you and your family as you go through this difficult time. We love you.

Teresa and family.....I am praying for you all through this time of sorrow. May you all be comforted each day. I know from my own experience that God will give you Grace and peace to carry on. I loved Bro. Earl and have many fond memories of him at camp and other services. He was a special man of God. I remember him sitting on that high seat filming the services and doing maintenance at camp, etc. He always did anything that needed to be done and didn't complain.....Nor did he want recognition. I know he has a mountain of rewards in Heaven! He will be missed as much as he was loved.

Earl, my precious brother. My heart is heavy and saddened by your passing. You were always a very special brother and it's so painful to lose you. You are in a better place now with no more pain and suffering. What a wonderful time you are having in God's presence and being with Joyce, Mama, and Daddy. Earl, I have such happy memories of our childhood. Your kidding and sometime mischievous ways were always funny. I treasure the time we've been together thoughout our adult years. Whenever I knew I would be seeing you I would make you a lemon pound cake to give you. Your eyes would light up and a smile would come to your face. I am going to miss you and you'll be in my thoughts forever.----Love, your sister, Bernice

Earl, I always enjoyed being around you and talking. I will miss you greatly. You were a great brother-in-law. I loved you very much.------Huston

Teresa, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers during this time of sadness. May God's love and presence comfort you and give you peace.-----Love, Aunt Bernice and Uncle Huston

Words cannot express the void left by you, Uncle Earl. You always had a smile, a cheerful word, and a fascinating story to tell whenever I saw you. You blessed my life in so many ways. I have so many fond memories of you. You always made me feel special and loved. I loved your stories from your younger days and your memory of details was amazing. God blessed you with a cheerful, and sometimes mischievous, personality that drew people to you. You were such a blessing to others and especially your family. Our family gatherings were a special time to reminisce about the old times while making new memories in the present. You made us laugh and cry and everything in between. I loved you so much and have been blessed to call you my uncle. I know you're up in Heaven with Aunt Joyce now and praising God for your journey and how he brought you through. Please know I love you and will miss you terribly. Thank you for being a blessing to me in my life. I will never forget you.-------Sheila

Teresa, dear cousin, my heart goes out to you during this time of loss and sorrow. May the good memories sustain you and may God's peace comfort your heart. I love you. May God be with you and your family-----Sheila

Dear Uncle Earl, I will miss your kind and peaceful presence, how you would make us laugh and the wonderful stories you loved to share at our family gatherings. One of the stories I enjoyed most was how you met Aunt Joyce. You had a gleam in your eye as you proudly spoke of the first moment you saw her in a sandwich shop. You fell in love at first sight and said to yourself "that girl is mine and I'm going to marry her." No one could ever doubt the special love you had for Aunt Joyce and how much you have missed her and now you will be together forever. I have many fond memories from my childhood, one of which is a Lincoln log set that you and Aunt Joyce gave me for Christmas when I was a little girl. That was fifty one years ago and I have kept it in mint condition and will cherish forever. Uncle Earl, you have always been a very special Uncle and I thank you for all the sweet memories. I love you and I will miss you.

Earl, I always looked forward to seeing you because you always had an enjoyable and interesting story that made me laugh and feel good about. I will miss you friend.
Love, Flay

Teresa, Our deepest condolences go out to you and your family. May God bless you and give you peace at this sad time.

To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord! As I look back at the testimony of this great man of God, I realize that he has truly fought a good fight and finished his course. What a wonderful legacy he and his wife began and passed on! He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed-but only for a short time! For we will meet again on the other side! I celebrate his life and legacy! My prayers for comfort are with his precious family! Your friend in Christ, Rev. Angie Davis.
